Attention to 2E5
Guys, i've asked the School's TA to take a look at the sound system in your classroom.
Hopefully, it'll be up and running soon... so you don't miss out on great videos/music etc.
Thanks. :)

State of the ART German Parking Garage
Guys, look at the perspective design of this artistic place here... cool.
-'The right mind could get it there'.
Talk about German efficiency!
The two photos were taken at a new parking garage in Munich.
The actual space that the facility occupies is approximately only 20% of a comparable facility with the traditional design that is used primarily in the US.
Not only the German structure less expensive to build, but vehicles are also
'retrieved' in less time and without the potential of being damaged by an attendent.
Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.

Artists- Installation Art
notes to Installation Art:
(Quoted from Art Fundamentals: Theory & Practice)
Installation- "Setting in a place".
This would imply that one could create an installation by setting out dinnerware, installing a battery in a car, or placing a work of art on a wall.
Artists turned towards installations slightly before the fourth quarter of the twentieth century.
Some materials that have been used include sheet metal, fiberglass, wood, bronze, steel, plastic, plaster, and stone: Actually any available materials are eligible, including mixed media. If placed outdoors, the installations maybe simple (but frequently quite large); others, most frequently in a gallery, are many times comprised of multiple pieces, sometimes flooding the floors and/or walls.
There is little doubt that they enhance viewer involvement and produce a different outlook on the spaces on which they are placed. No doubt, to its creators, a labor of love.

Just some of my random thoughts:
in regard to 'cards' written for me to understand the individual class profile better.
Some interesting facts about..
(Disclaimer: Could be slightly sacarstic but truthful and all in good humor ok? ;)
Please be tolerant of any errors whatsoever. Thanks!)
2E2:
Apparently, they love to sleep most of the time, anime for some, computer games and talk talk talk... most of the cards written were very very very honest, and this is what i like about this class- straightforward, right smack in your face kind of attitude. I'm quite such a person too so i guess we can spar huh?
Bet you didn't know unique trivia about...
Tan Kwan Ann (34) of Class 2E2 says... "I like to play Windows 95 games, or even DOS games. My wish is just to get an intel mainboard with 4 glgaherts with a 512mb graphic card and 1024 DDR SO-RAM.and of course a 200GB SATA(2) hard disk."
Miss Loh:
It's always cool to have a passion in your chosen interest!
2E3:
This class is cute! Some nicknames to remember fondly of, (how can i forget these lovable nicks?)
Mohamad Zahid Bin Dzurainy a.k.a Black. Handsome. Evil.
Md Ibnur Helal a.k.a Mickey Mouse
Seam Cheng Yong Han a.k.a Seanie
Koh See Hui a.k.a "G" Hui
Mohd Faris Bin Mahmad a.k.a Fatal, Fate, Faith, Fatalitee
Conferred Artistic nick of the class- Hansel Wong of Class 2E3.
He says, "My name is hansel, my name will always be signed with the dragon, like the dragon, I'm brave, and always ready for anything, but I also know how to respect people. All my work will be signed with the dragon so you'll know.
Miss Loh:
What can i say anything more either than wow?
2E5:
Big dreams for some. :)
Noraishah Ibrahim- I want to become a pilot (if possible)
Bowei Loh- Interest in Acrylic painting, design and engineering.
Nur Shabrina- I love fashion designing and i wanna be a fashion designer.
Mark Seah- (Translated from Chinese) My surname is zhou, call me jie lun. I am zhou jie lun... :) hehex.
Miss Loh:
Rock on! Remember, no dream is to big to chase after! (even becoming the next zhou jie lun...)
*Will be updated soon with the other Classes trivia*

Dear arty farty artists,
I sincerely Welcome all of you to OUR BLOG- a place of artistic & passionate vision!
I hope all of you will make this blog a huge success!!
Please support this blog because this is YOUR BLOG, YOUR PERSONAL HAVEN.
This is a place to
1) facilitate discussion...
where you can share your thoughts about Art or even any problems, questions that you have encountered during our art class, my budding artists. Let this be a guiding light to further develop your passion for the arts. I also hope you will be open about ideas and life in general not only to the subject, Art but other areas as well.
2) Reminders of Assignments/ work to be done
3) Links- information of Art related stuff
4) Commendations of Artworks done by the arty farty students, you guys!
5) My (yes... Miss Loh) thoughts about Art, life in general and YOU!
I may talk about one of my favourite moments, interesting happenings and funny incidents that happened during class. But not to worry, i am not here to lecture you. Rather, this is a place of positive and passionate energy!
I will be checking and updating this blog regularly but do give me some time due to my busy schedule. :)
However, there are some groundrules to follow to prevent disruptive 'negative atmosphere'.
-Be kind and courteous,
-no vulgarities or 'putting down' comments.
-do not misuse the blog
This is especially important because it is necessary for all of us to respect views of others.
I would LOVE to see positive interactions between your classmates, and the various classes. If you do have a blog of your own, do let me know and i will link up your blog to our artblog.
May Art be a part of your life,
may you appreciate your surroundings
and observe the simplicity of life.
Happiness in art is the eyes of my beholder.
i wish you the very same my dear students.
~miss Loh~
Let this be a place where we can get to know each other better through Art! :)
Let's get on with it, shall we ?!!!
Yours sincerely,
Miss Loh
